Hello out there!  I know, it’s been awhile. But we’ve been so busy. And it’s all been good. Well, mostly all. And mostly good.  The highlights of our weeks have been in reading. DJ is progressing so well with his reading. I am so amazed and really enjoying it as well.  Each day I prepare a lesson from Ordinary Parents Guide to Teaching Reading. DJ has taken a HUGE leap the past week and he is reading. Really, truly reading!  He received this set of Miss Rhonda Readers for Christmas last year. He’s been doing so well with the sound games lately, I decided to try an activity using one of the readers.  I chose one of the books and pulled out a few key words for DJ to write with the movable alphabet. We’ve been slogging through the winter months lately. I never thought I had a preference for any particular season until I was left inside with a young child for months on end. Before Christmas DJ and I finished a third chapter in our science curriculum, Building Foundations of Scientific Understanding.
